Will give it a listen. I am teaching first year Uni this semester (vastly different to 2-3 and postgrad teaching)So I might pick something up. :)

  2. Stephen K says on :

Great Show! Can’t wait for the next one :)

  3. Pete Smith says on :

How much diving do you do in Arizona? :)
Great example of a podcast I would normally never have found, but that I’ll now tune into every semi-week. Like everyone else I’d heard Lorrie and Sheila on Wingin It so I tuned in more out of curiosity than anything.

Great first show. Looking forward to more!

  4. Karen from Kalifornia says on :

Cool! Is there any way we can get MJ to do a segment? Like, “Why Beating Your Dad At Killer Bunnies Is So Satisfying.”

  5. Pete says on :

I always thought it was “NJ” but then Evo talks so fast…

Anyway, is that him doing the intro bit?

And I have now sandwiched Karen from Kalifornia. I can die a happy man.

  6. Sheila says on :

It is NJ and you would have to ask him about “Why Beating Your Dad At Killer Bunnies Is So Satisfying”. Yes, it is NJ doing the intro! We had to do some convincing but he finally agreed. He sounds great!

I am glad everyone is enjoying the show! Lor and I are enjoying working together again!

  7. Paul from Des Moines says on :

Love the show! Looking forward to hearing more!

  8. Karen from Kalifornia says on :

Pete, if all it takes to make you happy is for me to be sandwiched by you here in this comment section…we have so much to discuss….Dare I say…Philip K. Dick…call me. 1-800-BLU-ESUN. I’ll make it worth your while.

  9. Maureen says on :

I really enjoyed the show. I was happy to hear about this podcast. As the parent of kindergarten and middle school sons, this podcast has a lot of relevance. While my younger son is a reader - already reading chapter books - my older son is a bit more of a challenge. He’s in the sixth grade and in that very in-between age. I’m always on the look out for books that might interest him, so I’m looking forward to hearing more of your interviews. I know that, in addition to your author interviews, I would love to hear about books that you recommend or that are popular with your students.

  10. Jason Etheridge says on :

It is so wonderful to hear the two of you talking about a subject that you so clearly love! I’m also an avid reader, and do not remember when I haven’t been reading something (mainly fantasy and some SF). Please keep the shows coming. There are so many authors with outstanding work to talk to, but among the best that I would truly enjoy hearing you talk to:

    Ursula Le Guin
    Tamora Pierce
    Phillip Pullman

I’m very much looking forward to your next show!
